Lateral Partner Integration Report
Lateral Partner Integration into Law Firms

As one participant in this groundbreaking study puts it:
“Hiring partners is one thing. Successfully integrating them is quite another.”
While law firms have been pretty successful at driving down the number of complete misfires, it is clear that a significant proportion – an estimated 25-50% – of lateral hires are undershooting hiring expectations.
It stands to reason that improving lateral hire performance via better integration would not only save huge amounts of time and money, but would confer competitive advantage and improve future lateral hiring prospects.
The genesis of this report lies in a belief that dedicated integration coaching should be the end part of the lateral recruitment process and will make a meaningful difference in the lateral integration process.
We hope the report will provoke debate and help firms to examine and improve their integration processes. For further discussion or to request a copy of the report, please email Stephen Rodney or complete the Report Enquiry Form below.
This unique study was commissioned by IntoGreat Coaching Ltd and undertaken by Motive Legal Consulting, via in depth interviews with 17 participants at leading international law firms in the UK.
